Dennis Charly Bergande
Our Visual FX Artist recieved his degree as a state-approved media designer at the young age of 17. This provided him further on his path to make his passion his job and to become a special effects artist. His goal is to combine the power of motion graphics and 2D & 3D compositing in a context where fashion film is brought to the next visual level. In addition to his work for silent film, he has also been experimenting with new visual means of expression in other contexts for many years (for example for RIOT GAMES, UNIVERSAL MUSIC and many others).

Heiko Aufdermauer
After traveling the world on a bicycle, our Creative Director has studied at HFF Konrad Wolf in Babelsberg. His artistic roots are alike in narrative film (e.g. the successful arthouse feature film ZEIT DER FISCHE was realized by him) as well as in internationally successful experimental work (Förderpreis dt. Film in Hof, Oberhausen, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Houston).
In addition to his work on two new feature films, he directed hundreds of scenes, music clips and short films as commissioned work. This created a virtuosity in dealing with a wide variety of genres and narrative possibilities within the short form.

Budha Chattopadhyay
SOUND ARTIST Born in India, currently living and working in Denmark, Austria and Germany, Chattopadhyay’s work questions the materiality, site-specificity and object-hood of sound. He has received several residencies and awards (e.g. PRIX Ars Electronica 2011, Linz). His works have been exhibited, performed or presented in Berlin (Deutschlandradio, Transmediale, CTM, Errant Bodies), Frankfurt (Institut für Neue Medien), The Hague (TodaysArt Festival), Belfast (Sonorities Festival), Helsinki (Akusmata), Copenhagen (Nikolaj Kunsthal, Overgaden Institute of Contemporary Art) and London (SoundFjord).
Charlot van Heeswijk
Charlot was born in 1996 in Wetzlar and has been living and working as a freelance filmmaker and artist in Berlin since 2016. During this time, she has also worked as a director, editor, assistant director and production coordinator, as well as casting music videos, short films and feature films. Since 2017, she has been a part of SILENTFILM as an art director and successfully accompanied numerous projects from their conceptualisation to their realisation. In 2019, she also began a bachelor's degree in theatre and film studies at the Free University of Berlin, but continues to work as a freelancer.
Johannes Girke
Having started with VHS and 16mm film, Johannes has actually always been dedicated to filmmaking. After studying experimental film design at the UdK Berlin, he realised a wide variety of moving image projects in the context of social transformation processes for various clients (installations, exhibitions, web series for WDR, funk, independent theatre and music productions). In the tradition of auteur filmmaking, each project becomes a Gesamtkunstwerk with Johannes and discovers its own specific form. At Silentfilm he continues to develop digital storytelling and post-production.
