VIDEO PRODUCTION FOR SOCIAL MEDIA
The importance of a strong social media presence
A professional and lively social media presence is more than just a ‘nice-to-have’ for companies, NGOs and institutions today. It not only enables visibility and reach, but also real participation and social impact. Those who use their channels strategically can not only move people - they can also bring about long-term change.
Creating visibility and strengthening trust
Social media offers the opportunity to make your work accessible to a broad public - quickly, cost-effectively and in a targeted manner. With authentic insights into projects, campaigns or day-to-day work, they can create transparency and build trust. Trust is particularly crucial for non-profit organisations, as it forms an important basis for donations, voluntary commitment and long-term support.
How does the actual production of videos for social media work in our film production?
Social media content is often created as an ‘accessory’ to an image film; however, it is better if we plan your campaign together with our young content creators.
Maybe you already have a clearly defined idea, or maybe you just have the desire or the budget to produce ‘something good’. In our experience, successful videos are only created in social media if you consider the overall context of the production: who do you want to reach, what aesthetic best conveys your vision, where does the video to be produced fit in with existing video content?
What do we start with?
As a Berlin-based film production company, we love all forms of research. For us, every collaboration begins with an artistic, content-related and social examination of the topic - or product. Only then does it make sense to concretise a project. Over the last twenty years, our film production has done everything from a one-man business in Calcutta (India) to a cinema production with a team of 40 people. Ideally, we don't try to reproduce existing formats, but boldly develop new formats together. Our experience in dealing with actors as well as with documentary situations offers the best conditions for this.
Every form and every budget has its advantages and disadvantages. It is often the combination of streamed live events, pre-produced video content and parallel music release that makes a project effective. That's why we like to look at projects beyond the boundaries of just one medium. This is in our blood, because we work in all formats, from cinema feature films to music videos, image films, international documentary works and video installations.
What projects does our film production do?
Last year, despite Corona, we were able to realise a wide variety of projects: from a documentary music video (SOS Kinderdorf Lausitzto a short feature film in Pakistan on the topic of "sustainable sports goods" (Engagement Globale), einer Social Media kampagne für die Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Imagefilmen zum Thema digitales Mobbing (Netzrevolte) Digital strategies for associations (Digital Vereint), zur Smart City Strategy, einer Social Media Kampagne zum Klimawandel (Eineinhalb Grad), as well as some artist portraits (Embassy of Singapore).
What does a video production cost?
Basically, there are two ways to determine the costs of an obviously very individual project: either you approach us with a budget and we see what can be set up with it. Or we first develop a joint vision (perhaps you already have this) and then calculate the project on the basis of daily rates.
In both cases, we will be transparent in every respect. There will be a defined budget that we stick to - and you will not incur any costs for any of the preliminary meetings.
